What happens to your confidential paper shredding material when it leaves your office? I get this question all the time. Most of the paper shredding services are not thought much about once the paper makes it into a secure paper shredding container. It actually takes quite a journey. In our case it is shredded here at one of our Texas facilities and then shipped off to a paper mill in Mississippi where it is recycled. Standard office paper is actually quite a valued commodity. This fibrous paper shredded material goes through several chemical processes and ultimately is recycled into toilet paper, napkins, paper towels etc. At Embassy, we are very proud to be a green conscious company. Our paper shredding material is all recycled to offset our fuel usage.

Once the shredded paper is received at the mill it is broken down. This process breaks all of the material into tiny fibers. All ink and tacky materials are removed and the fibers begin to come back together. The fibers are rolled and then turned into the items previously mentioned like paper towels etc. It is a very eco friendly decision to use a paper shredding company to shred all of your confidential documents. We waste absolutely no shredded paper to any landfill or garbage dump. We recycle it all. We also recycle all of our pulped e waste or hard drive destruction material. We shred hard drives too!
