Below is a guide of the different sizes and types of shred bins and shred receptacles that makes the
document shredding process secure and efficient. Hopefully, this will help your home office or business
with your current shredding program.
I feel like the biggest component of what shred container will best suit your office is the size of the
office. Small shred bins or shred consoles typically are utilized by our clients that are in a smaller office
space. I feel like our smaller shred containers are a bit more aesthetically pleasing in comparison to the
larger shred bins that are on wheels. Additionally, a lot of clients that have customers in their office
regularly like the look of the smaller shred containers.
Our shredinators are the smallest shred container option. They are used in tight spaces and will easily fit
under any desk. A shredinator will fit around 40 pounds of paper. Our shred consoles are a tad larger at
32 gallons and will fit around 90 pounds of paper. Each of these smaller shred containers are secure and
locking. The next step up is our 64-gallon shred bin. These are locked, rolling cans or bins that look like
a larger trash can. Our rolling shred bins will hold around 200 pounds of paper. These bins are rolled
out to our on-site mobile shred truck and shredded on-site in your parking lot or driveway. Shred bins
or Shred receptacles serviced by a reliable cheap shredding service is just a phone call away. We can
help you set op recurring shred service with a receptacle or a shred pick up at your home or office.
If you are looking for a one-time shred job (and mobile shredding is not a necessity) it is best to calculate
the quantity of shredding material that you have. A standard bankers box typically weighs around 25
lbs. Count the number of shred boxes that you have and multiply by 25 pounds. This should give you a
pretty good estimate of shredding material. If you do not have a shred container and just want a one-
time shred, we will pick it up and shred the papers or documents at 1 of our secure plant based shred
sites.
Trust a shredding service that can provide you a secure locking container. Embassy can set you up with
either shred container on a recurring schedule or for on call shred service. Our service area is all of
central Texas.
